Hendrix Restaurant is located at the heart of Columbia, SC's downtown on Main Street.  It is the first true open air bar.  The design inspiration came from the owner's travels throughout the country.  The building is a registered historic building, and was built in the late 1800's.  The design concept was to blend modern taste while keeping the building's historical architectural details.  The original wood floors, exposed brick walls and rafter ceilings give character, add warmth, and create the perfect backdrop for the modern design elements.
